Are you ready for the Internet of Things?
More things are connected to the Internet today than there are people on earth. Cisco Systems predicts that by 2015, some 25 billion things will be connected to the Internet. In Internet of Things, any natural or man-made thing with an IP address and with the ability to transmit data can communicate over a wired or wireless network.
Google has tested its driverless cars on public roads. In future, your car might drop you off in front of your office building, drive off to park itself and return when you call it via a smartphone app.
The Internet Society, Singapore Chapter and Asia Pacific, supported by Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) will host a conference on the Internet of Things, on Friday, December 6, 2013, sponsored by Google and Cisco Systems.
The one-day conference will seek to provide delegates with an understanding of IoT for a decision maker or policy maker and how it will impact Singapore's economy and lifestyle.
Find out more what IoT is and what it means to you!
